Lauri Phillips

As a passionate educator with over two decades of experience, I have dedicated my career to fostering a love for learning in young students. My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Akron, followed by a Master’s in Educational Administration from Kent State University. I have served as a Kindergarten Teacher and previously as a Technology Instructor for grades K-4, where I developed innovative teaching methods that engage students and enhance their learning experiences.

Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my commitment to education, including nominations for the Favorite Teacher award. My roles have included tutoring Title I Reading and Math, as well as long-term substitute teaching for 5th grade. I pride myself on my ability to multitask and work collaboratively with colleagues, ensuring a supportive and effective learning environment for all students.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have actively participated in volunteerism and community service, serving on various boards and committees. My hobbies, such as kayaking, gardening, and reading, reflect my belief in a well-rounded life, which I strive to instill in my students. I am eager to continue making a positive impact in the field of education.
