At The University of Trinidad and Tobago, I teach Spanish and general education in teacher education programs, with a focus on intercultural communication and international awareness. I implemented Canvas LMS university-wide, supporting digital capacity building for faculty and students.
I mentor student teachers in pedagogical strategies that incorporate cross-cultural and global perspectives, and supervise their practicum courses in primary schools across Trinidad and Tobago. I also organize seminars and webinars on education and global policy.
For the Ministry of National Security / National Training Agency, I designed and delivered Spanish training for Defence Force, Police, Fire, and Prison Services personnel. The training focused on operational communication, cultural diplomacy, and interagency collaboration.
Earlier, I taught Business Spanish at UWI School of Business & Applied Studies (ROYTEC) and trained faculty at The Learning Centre - The University of Trinidad and Tobago in web-based course design using Blackboard LMS. My work has also included teaching Spanish in the national education system and researching Blackboard as a teaching and learning tool at UTT.
