Kyle Wick
@kylewick
I lead engineering teams delivering first-to-market industrial and automotive accessory products.
What I'm looking for
At Ranch Hand Truck Accessories, I lead design and manufacturing engineering teams of 10+ through product development, process improvement, and operational support. I've led first-to-market product launches generating over $44 million in revenue and used simulation-driven design and FEA to reduce weight by up to 25% while increasing structural strength by 40%.
I've advanced from manufacturing engineering roles into engineering leadership, improving throughput, reducing downtime, implementing Lean and 6S improvements, and standardizing workflows through SOLIDWORKS best practices and ENOVIA PLM integration. My background includes mechanical design, manufacturing optimization, quality validation, and United States Army service, and I value mentoring engineers, accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Manage both Design Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering in new product development, process improvement, and support for existing products and operations. Implement new systems, new equipment, and provide information for production.
Worked with quality team to design and validate their processes and capabilities, preformed R&R studies on CNC mills and lathes and conducted quality studies using Zeiss Contura G2 CMM’s to increase throughput from quality control inspection.
Evaluated current processes and machinery to increase throughput throughout the manufacturing process. Managed machine implementation and uptime.
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Ranch Hand I am responsible for evaluating current processes, creating new solutions for improvement, supporting lean transformation, and conferring with vendors. I also design and create equipment for continual improvement throughout Ranch Hand.
Led a small team of manufacturing engineers to implement process improvements, decrease manufacturing delays, and conduct 6S improvements.
During my time at Boedeker Plastics I worked under Boedeker Precision. I started, organized, and implemented a validation system for the machining and measuring machines and processes. Using Six Sigma, R&R studies, and calibration equipment, I was able to create a more consistent and reliable machining process for lathe and mill machining.
