Kunal Singla

I’m an IIT Bhilai graduate and a Backend Software Engineer with 1+ year of production experience building distributed, event-driven microservices and cloud-native Java backends. I focus on system design, API development, and concurrency patterns that hold up under real traffic and operational constraints.

At Radcom, I’ve taken ownership of backend systems end-to-end, including leading Radcom’s self-serve dataset platform. I built an Orchestrator Microservice that coordinates 5+ microservices via Apache Kafka, manages data aggregation flow lifecycles, and routes results into ClickHouse for real-time KPI consumption.

I also drive technical decision-making through evidence. I ran an Apache Flink vs. Vertica POC for stream processing, benchmarked and presented the findings to leadership, and helped shape the production standard to adopt Vertica. Alongside that, I delivered YAML-to-DB bootstrapping and an automated KPI generation engine that introspects user-defined schemas to reduce manual setup to near zero.

Earlier, as a Junior Software Engineer Intern, I was the sole developer for a production KPI computation microservice—handling API design, data modeling, and unit plus end-to-end integration tests through release. I’m motivated by reliability and measurable outcomes, like reducing post-release defects by 15%, and I bring that same drive into projects like a scalable TA allocation automation system and a healthcare e-commerce backend.
