Kudakwashe Mashonga

I’m a recent BSc Honours graduate in Biotechnology and Biochemistry (Industrial and Environmental Microbiology), focused on delivering accurate laboratory results through disciplined microbiological testing and strong documentation habits. I bring practical experience in sample preparation, aseptic techniques, and quality control to support reliable process monitoring.

During my Industrial Attachment at SeedCo Rattray Arnold Research Station, I conducted microbiological testing and laboratory analysis on biological and plant samples. I prepared, labelled, verified, and processed samples according to laboratory procedures, and I performed PCR and DNA extraction while maintaining complete laboratory records for reporting. I also supported quality monitoring activities through statistical data interpretation and clear communication of findings.

Beyond the lab, I worked on a research project characterising Myrothamnus flabellifolius extracts, producing extraction and phytochemical analysis results with comprehensive research documentation and presentations. I’m energized by regulated manufacturing environments where I can apply GMP, HACCP principles, and quality/safety systems knowledge to maintain standards, prevent hazards, and contribute to continuous improvement.
