I’m looking to own complex production systems end to end, especially backend, distributed systems, search, and applied AI work where reliability, measurable performance, and real user impact matter.

At Paperpile, I’m the sole developer behind an internal academic search platform spanning 230M+ documents. I reduced p99 search latency from roughly 10 seconds to under one second, built 10+ reliable microservices, increased searchable abstract coverage from 27% to 51%, and shipped an MCP server that verifies AI-generated citations against the corpus.

I build end to end across TypeScript, Node.js, Python, React, Go, Rust, databases, search infrastructure, and production DevOps. I also maintain 78+ public repositories, build open-source tools and multiplayer games, operate a local-retail SaaS, and teach full-stack development and DevOps as a guest lecturer.
