What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a Data/Finance/Business Analysis role with more complex tasks and less bureaucracy, where I can build reports and dashboards using SQL, Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and Excel for real decision impact.

I’m Kristiāns Zaķis, a data-focused analyst with double-degree training in International Finance and Banking (MBA/MFIN and BBA/BFIN). I’m drawn to turning messy data into clear decisions, especially where finance and business reporting meet.

Over multiple roles across banking, retail, healthcare, and public institutions, I’ve supported teams with SQL ad-hoc data requests, built and maintained Power BI dashboards and reports, and delivered recurring reporting (weekly/monthly internal reporting and quarterly reporting to the Bank of Latvia). I’ve also worked hands-on with Power Query and DAX for KPI calculations and template maintenance, and contributed to system projects with testing and user training in SAP-driven environments.

I’m always open to new knowledge and want a position with more complicated tasks and meaningful impact rather than excessive bureaucracy. In my next role, I’ll bring strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and a practical focus on data quality, automation, and stakeholder-ready outputs.
