Kobina Quansah

I am a results-driven Data Scientist with a proven track record of developing and deploying impactful algorithms and models to tackle complex business challenges. My experience includes delivering actionable insights from large-scale data, mentoring teams, and leading innovative projects within dynamic environments. Currently, I work at Unacast in Oslo, where I have designed and implemented a complete batch routing model using SQL, Java, Apache Beam, and Apache Airflow to predict modes of transport and travel paths for mobile device subscribers.

In my previous role as a Data Analyst at Unacast, I analyzed large-scale telecommunication datasets to support dwell and transit analysis for multiple client sectors. I engaged regularly with clients to gather business requirements, deliver insights, and maintain transparent progress reporting. My efforts in modifying and optimizing existing algorithms have significantly improved both proof-of-concept and production-ready applications. I am passionate about fostering innovation, as demonstrated by my leadership in organizing internal hackathons that encourage collaborative problem-solving and prototype creation.
