I lead offshore data engineering and analytics at Chevron.
What I'm looking for
I lead Offshore Data and Insights at Chevron, building on prior Lead Data Engineer and Data Engineer roles supporting Gulf of Mexico data.
My work combines data engineering, analysis, and visualization with a PhD in Geological Sciences from UT Austin. I use Python, SQL, Azure, Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS, and geoscience data to turn complex datasets into useful insights.
Before Chevron, I developed analytical dashboards at HCSS and applied geochemistry, well logs, seismic interpretation, and biomarker data during research and internships with ExxonMobil and Equinor. I’m motivated by science, helping people, and communicating important findings across multidisciplinary teams.

Worked as Data Engineer - Gulf of Mexico Data and Insights at Chevron.
- Developed a geologic model to explain the impact of a volcanic event (North Sea Dome) on shale intervals of the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). This requires reconstruction of past paleoenvironments using well logs, core descriptions, and geochemical records
- Used trace metals to understand key spatial and temporal patterns of the Drake Formation
• Created value for numerous Enterprise customers by generating Power BI/Tableau analytical dashboards and reports
• Designed a data model using ERD on LucidChart for demos to all HCSS potential customers
• Assisted with automation code for extracting and cleaning usage data from Salesforce and SQL using Python and R
• Developed a biomarker tool framework using a global dataset for the characterization of 170+ oil samples based on salinity source facies. This work entailed calibrating two datasets as well as exploring relationships between maturity and the biomarker tool
• Established framework across Brazil using ArcGIS and Tableau to visualize ratios from GC-MS and QQQ datasets
• Integrated well logs and se
• Assessed the source rock characteristics of the Drake Formation of the Northern North Sea using an integrated approach, such as inorganic and organic geochemistry, well logs, produced oil data, and seismic interpretations
• Data mining and in-depth synthesis of different public and internal datasets
• Generated 11 well log correlation across Tampen Spur, and identified intervals for further geoc
- Studied oxygen (δ18O) isotopes of river samples from northern Colombia to understand temporal and spatial patterns of isotopic variability in the region
- Assessed modern convective and stratiform Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) surface precipitation data from Colombia to understand the climate dynamics of the tropics
- Used leaf wax GDGTs to reconstruct past temperatures from lake se
Part of an integrated project that looked at de-risking the petroleum play of the Perdido (Mexico) area using geochemical biomarker data. Tasks completed throughout the project:
• Assessed the biomarkers taken from well and piston core samples and interpreted depositional environment, stratigraphic ages (or oil families), and thermal maturity.
• Generated a series of simplified paleogeographic ma
• Greeted guests using Scoreboard steps of service and takes simple food and beverage orders
• Ensure great customer service by ensuring that they are enjoying their meals and took action to correct any problems

• Characterized bitumen of Nigerian tar sands.
• Assessed the potential uses of new terpane (terpenoid) ratios in characterizing oil samples.
• Generated an extensive and updated literature review on terpane biomarker ratios and completed a library (called BioTool) for university use.
