Khalil Khoury
@khalilkhoury1
Bioinformatics and data engineering leader building cloud surveillance pipelines and genomic decision-support for public health.
What I'm looking for
I’m a bioinformatics, data engineering, and scientific software leader who builds production surveillance systems for statewide public health. I lead and independently execute multidisciplinary initiatives that support epidemiology, laboratory, informatics, and executive stakeholders across Arizona.
I build and maintain cloud data pipelines and orchestration workflows—from reliable ELR ingestion to Snowflake consumption layers—while monitoring data quality and regulatory conformance. I also develop reproducible genomic epidemiology workflows (e.g., alignment, variant characterization, SNP analysis, and phylogenetic reconstruction) and deliver outbreak evidence through dashboards and tools for both investigators and decision-makers.
I founded a healthcare data consultancy and focus on end-to-end systems integration, workflow automation, and production analytics. In client work, I’ve recovered more than $20,000 in monthly revenue leakage and eliminated 40+ hours of monthly administrative work by automating and validating billing-reconciliation processes.
