What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a transport/highway engineering role where I can own field and lab quality work, analyze traffic and roadway data, and grow into research-driven, deadline-driven technical delivery within a supportive engineering team.

I’m a final-year B.Eng Civil Engineering student specializing in Transport and Highway Engineering, currently on industrial attachment at the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) in Corridor Management. I combine hands-on highway materials testing and site inspection with a self-taught software and data analysis mindset.

At KeNHA, I perform laboratory materials testing—including Marshall Stability, GMM/Rice (maximum specific gravity), sieve analysis, and concrete cube crushing—to verify compliance with road construction specifications. I also support technical documentation and site data capture that feeds into corridor maintenance and quality-assurance decisions under senior engineering supervision.

Previously, as a Civil Engineering Intern at Maozways Limited, I followed systematic inspection and classification protocols to assess road and bridge construction materials and site conditions against technical specifications. I maintained structured site logs, measurement records, and progress reports, building rigorous data-capture habits in a precision-critical environment.

I also lead independent transport research on queue spillback and mainline flow disruption at the Nairobi Expressway’s Museum Hill Interchange, using structured data collection and HCM 7th Edition plus LWR shockwave-velocity frameworks. Alongside that, I deliver high-volume technical manuscript reviews and remote AI training-data work (including Kikuyu audio transcription and engineering-domain data annotation), while developing projects like SpendSmart and CivilMind.
