I’m a data engineer who designs, builds, and orchestrates data pipelines across ingestion, transformation, testing, and deployment. I’m strong in Python, SQL, and dbt, and I bring hands-on Dagster, Docker, and CI/CD to ensure reliable, repeatable data work.

In my recent role, I redesigned upstream data collection with validation rules and constrained inputs, removing a manual cleaning bottleneck and cutting weekly data cleaning from one week to one day. I also built repeatable validation and reconciliation logic to catch anomalies at source, reducing error rates by 30% and enabling structured, reconciled datasets that feed biweekly KPIs on volumes, turnaround times, approval rates, and escalations.

Before that, I automated research by integrating a third-party WHOIS registrar API into a Python workflow for an industry report, delivering ahead of schedule. I led QA across a web and mobile build for myMedicines.Africa using Azure DevOps, tracking defects and managing release approvals—cutting client-reported bugs by 70%.

I also ship end-to-end projects: a layered dbt + partitioned Dagster pipeline with automated tests and GitHub Actions CI/CD, and a production platform where I owned the relational schema, migrations, and data model. Through ML and data volunteering, I’ve supported extraction, cleaning, and model-focused pipelines (including BERT embeddings work in my dissertation), and I enjoy turning messy inputs into trustworthy outputs.
