I've been the first engineer at Kaguya, building its Next.js social discovery platform from discovery and libraries to ratings, reviews, profiles, and social features. I later took sole ownership of its Elixir, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, web, and mobile systems as the product pivoted from books to visual novels.
I’ve improved production reliability and performance by resolving OOM-related navigation stalls, eliminating GraphQL N+1 queries, and reducing a tag-filter path from 21 seconds to 3–3.5 seconds. I also built catalog revision tooling, Razorpay subscriptions, and an open-source recommender trained on 1.8M ratings.
Previously at Undef Studio, I built a multi-tenant CMS and an Electron app for 10K+ S3 image uploads. I also built PycoDB, a Redis-inspired Python database with TCP multiplexing, transactions, Pub/Sub, snapshots, eviction, and custom sorted sets.
