Kelvin Simiyu

I am an optical physicist with hands-on experience in laser systems design, spectroscopy, and optical metrology. I have practical expertise setting up Michelson interferometers, performing lens quality checks, and executing experiments with high-powered lasers at research laboratories.

My projects include improving lens efficiency and detecting refraction errors using interferometric methods; I have worked at the National Institute of Optics and Lasers Laboratory and participated in workshops in biomedical departments. I am proficient in Zemax optical design, metrology techniques, and practical laser use for cutting and fabrication.

I bring strong foundations in physics and mathematics, practical annotation skills using Labelbox, CVAT and Label Studio, and solid documentation and Microsoft Office capabilities, focused on delivering precise defect detection and mitigation for optical components.
