Keagan Volkwyn

Early-career Cybersecurity and IT Support professional with hands-on experience in technical support, system troubleshooting, networking, hardware, and frontend development. I hold CompTIA Security+ and ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) certifications and have practical experience supporting Windows and Linux environments, diagnosing hardware and software issues, managing updates, and maintaining secure systems.

I actively develop my cybersecurity skills through TryHackMe labs and a personal homelab, where I work with VMware, Windows and Linux virtual machines, networking, system administration, and security concepts. I have also built embedded networking projects and gained experience with firmware, wireless technologies, and hardware integration.

Alongside my technical development, I volunteer with the ISC2 Cape Town Chapter and BSides Cape Town, which keeps me actively involved in the cybersecurity community. I am looking to grow in a Cybersecurity, SOC, IT Support, Technical Support, or Junior Security role where I can contribute my technical foundation while continuing to develop practical security experience.
