What I'm looking for

I'm looking for remote work improving Amharic AI through annotation, evaluation, translation, localization, and structured feedback. I want to apply my native-language knowledge and LLM engineering experience to build culturally natural tools that benefit Ethiopian users.

I built Merkuze, a bilingual English-Amharic AI hospital assistant for Tikur Anbessa Hospital, personally authoring, reviewing, and refining patient-facing Amharic content, system responses, knowledge-base entries, and UI text.

As a native Amharic speaker from Addis Ababa, I evaluate language for grammar, syntax, semantics, style, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness. I combine this linguistic grounding with hands-on LLM experience using Ollama, RAG, OpenAI, and Anthropic Claude, so I understand how content quality shapes model output.

I also tutor English for Amharic-speaking learners and deliver English-language technical documentation and client work remotely. I care about making Amharic AI genuinely useful for Ethiopian audiences, not merely technically correct.
