What I'm looking for

I’m looking to build governed, self-service analytics platforms—engineering reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models—while collaborating with cross-functional teams and improving performance and cost through scalable migrations.

I'm an Analytics Engineer and BI Engineer with 5+ years designing and implementing data solutions across the full analytics stack—from raw ingestion to clean, tested, and documented data models. I specialize in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline development, and large-scale data migrations across cloud platforms, and I focus on making data reliable and usable for decision-makers. I actively integrate AI into my workflows—certified by Anthropic in Claude Code and Agent Skills—using it to accelerate transformation logic, automate documentation, and sharpen pipeline development. My approach: direct AI as a force multiplier, not a replacement for engineering judgment.

At Picap App, I designed and executed a large-scale data warehouse migration from BigQuery to ClickHouse, delivering measurable cost optimization and significant query performance improvements. I build and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow, develop custom transformation logic in Python and SQL for ClickHouse, and engineer robust Airflow DAGs with error handling, retries, and alerting to keep pipelines dependable. I also champion data governance through comprehensive technical documentation, training BI teams, and building dashboards and KPIs with Power BI, Looker Studio, and Apache Superset.

Earlier, at Teleperformance Colombia and MiBanco, I led database and pipeline modernization projects, served as a technical liaison between reporting and engineering teams, and automated 80% of manual reporting using Python and SQL ETL pipelines. I've also built dimensional models, data marts, Power BI reporting with DAX, and SSIS-based ingestion with improved reliability and traceability, plus performance monitoring to support product teams.
