Julian Anzaldua
@juliananzaldua
Data engineer and economist building production data pipelines and analytics for decision-making.
What I'm looking for
I am an economist and self-taught data engineer with three years of hands-on experience building production-grade analytics and tooling to support high-value foreign investment decisions. I design and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, REST APIs, and dashboards using Python, FastAPI, pandas, and Streamlit.
At Secretaría de Economía de Coahuila I facilitated 35 foreign investment projects in 2023 representing USD 2,332M in projected investment and 20,506 jobs created, while serving as the primary English-language liaison for international investors. I replaced manual processes with reproducible tools, including an Electron/React desktop app for incentive calculations now used internally.
My projects include a QSR analytics platform that ingested 8M+ POS transactions into columnar Parquet storage, a production FastAPI REST API with Pydantic models and CI/CD, and a Streamlit dashboard for operational and margin analytics. I am also developing a media monitoring pipeline using BERT NER to surface investment risk and opportunity signals.
I seek to apply my production-grade data engineering and analytics engineering skills full-time to build reliable pipelines, APIs, and dashboards that drive measurable business and investment outcomes.
