Judy Duffy

I'm preparing to teach elementary special education after supporting neurodiverse students, including students with autism and ADHD, in a fifth-grade NEST classroom at P.S. 76Q.

I lead small-group and one-on-one instruction aligned to IEP goals, develop differentiated lessons, and use behavior-management strategies to build a supportive classroom environment. I collaborate with mentor teachers on daily instruction, progress monitoring, and family communication.

Outside the classroom, I tutor children ages 4–13 in English Language Arts, ESL, Hebrew, and Social Studies. I tailor homework support and study-skills coaching to each child's learning style while building confidence, organization, and retention.

I'm also an active Volunteer PAC Member with Birch Family Services, partnering with parents, teachers, and professionals to support preschool activities and improve the educational experience for families.
