Joy Owuor

I am a BBIT graduate with hands-on experience in data analysis, IT support, and system development, focused on applying technology to improve education and social outcomes. I combine strong technical skills in Python, SQL, Power BI, and Excel with practical experience in database cleaning, dashboarding, and data visualization.

In previous roles I digitized and maintained records, developed cataloging systems, and trained community members in digital literacy, while providing frontline IT support. As a data analyst intern I cleaned and analyzed HR data for 1,470 employees and built Power BI dashboards that delivered real-time managerial insights.

My IT internship involved troubleshooting 80+ software issues, reconfiguring LAN/WAN to improve connectivity, and performing malware remediation across multiple systems. I also design and implement systems: projects include a PHP/MySQL church management system with role-based access and optimized database performance.

I am passionate about leveraging machine learning and cloud tools to produce actionable insights, having built PyTorch classifiers that exceeded 90% accuracy and used Azure for data onboarding. I work well in teams, document work thoroughly, and enjoy translating data into decisions that drive impact.
