Jovan Kirumira

I’m a self-motivated insurance underwriter who aims to create positive change in every organization I’m part of. I believe limited resources can still be enough, and I work with an “improvise and deliver” mindset while staying accountable to my superiors.

I’ve developed strong insurance expertise through my work with Kiboko Insurance Brokers as an Underwriter for three years, helping clients access the best insurance covers with competitive terms. I handle client visits, identify insurable risks, propose appropriate covers, and coordinate with insurers to secure favorable outcomes.

Before that, I built practical business exposure through roles that strengthened my execution and support skills. I worked as a Programs Officer at RWAP Holdings (2020–2022) scheduling and executing client programs, and I completed internship duties at Negocio Consultants Limited including data entry, customer care, and preparing financial source documents such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

I hold a Bachelors of Science in Finance from Makerere University Business School and completed additional insurance training (Insurance Training Certificate in Insurance (CII)). I combine underwriting and finance thinking with strong communication, negotiation, time management, and leadership—so teams and clients can move forward with confidence.
