With a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and more than eight years of experience supporting international AI, localization, translation, and language-data projects, I bring a combination of technical understanding, linguistic expertise, analytical thinking, and exceptional attention to detail. My experience has involved contributing to projects for internationally recognized organizations and brands, including Amazon, Google, Meta, Samsung, Huawei, and Unilever.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with text, image, audio, and video datasets used in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications. My experience includes text and intent classification, AI-generated content evaluation, image annotation for object detection and classification, audio transcription and labeling, speech annotation, video annotation, data categorization, and quality validation. I am accustomed to following detailed project guidelines while maintaining high levels of accuracy, consistency, and productivity under demanding deadlines.
In addition to my AI data experience, I have a strong background in multilingual translation and localization. I am a native Amharic speaker and fluent in English, Oromo, and Tigrinya, allowing me to contribute effectively to multilingual AI and localization projects and to assess language, meaning, context, and cultural appropriateness with a high degree of accuracy.
I am also comfortable working with industry tools and platforms such as Labelbox and Label Studio, as well as CAT tools including MemoQ, Memsource, and SDL Trados Studio. My proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, data management, documentation, internet research, and quality assurance further enables me to work efficiently in remote and distributed environments.
