Joshua Correia

I'm developing adaptive robotic grasping strategies at Linköping University using Vision-Language-Action models, Reinforcement Learning fine-tuning, MuJoCo, and custom Gymnasium environments. My research connects object pose, orientation, and geometry to successful gripper actions while improving generalization to unseen objects.

With LIU Formula Student, I conduct CAD cleaning and CFD simulation work across vehicle iterations, including updating ParaView post-processing scripts and investigating rotating-domain simulation workflows. Previously at Lumax Energy, I led in-house aerodynamics and simulation efforts using CFD and FEA, built software for logistics and engineering applications, and supported solar-farm design, testing, commissioning, and on-site execution.

I've also led aircraft design and construction teams, including an RC aircraft team that carried a record-breaking 18 tennis balls and placed third overall. My hands-on work spans aerospace design, vehicle design, wind tunnel testing, manufacturing, and competition engineering.
