Josh Andrews

AI governance and policy advisor who teaches cybersecurity, AI, and emerging tech—bridging ethics into real strategy.
What I'm looking for
I’m a technology educator, researcher, and program designer at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, ethics, and organizational strategy. I’m an Assistant Professor at Brevard College, where I teach cybersecurity, AI, blockchain, and cloud computing, and I recently designed the college’s first AI Management degree program built around AI governance, compliance, ethics, and social impact (launches Fall 2026).
I also work hands-on with emerging AI: as a Generalist AI Trainer at LinkedIn, I support improving large language models (LLMs) through expert evaluation and feedback on AI-generated content. I evaluate outputs for accuracy, clarity, helpfulness, and adherence to instructions using defined quality criteria, compare multiple model responses, and identify factual and reasoning issues to support continuous improvement.
My dissertation research focuses on cybersecurity risk management in private U.S. colleges using NIST CSF 2.0 and policy-relevant applied research on how institutions make strategic decisions about risk. With a background spanning higher education and industry roles at Lenovo, Mutual of Omaha, and J. Crew, I’m especially open to technology policy, AI governance, strategic partnerships, and government-adjacent advisory work.
