Josephine Odhiambo

I’m a detail-oriented Computer Science student building my career as an AI data annotation & training specialist, focused on improving model performance through consistent, high-quality work. I combine data curation discipline with machine learning workflow support so teams can rely on the datasets and evaluations they ship.

In my current role as TECHNICAL AI & ML LEAD at Kirinyaga University Computer Society, I lead technical ML sessions and mentor student developers in AI/ML workflows. I coordinate model experimentation, fine-tuning and cloud deployment projects, and I support Kaggle competitions while reinforcing best coding practices.

Through my SOFTWARE ENGINEER (INTERNSHIP) experience at Bumala Financial Services Association, I developed and deployed an LLM-powered loan recommendation module using Python and Flask. I also assisted in evaluating customer credit risk using data-driven ML classification, improved backend reliability, and contributed to software maintenance and refactoring.

I bring strong structured data and metadata organization, a commitment to data quality, confidentiality, and ethical standards, and the ability to evaluate AI-generated responses for quality and accuracy. I’m especially effective at following annotation guidelines, maintaining consistency, and using tools like Label Studio/CVAT to support digital workflow systems.
