I'm a senior software engineer based in Brisbane with nearly five years building production software for large Australian companies, mostly in TypeScript, Node, React and AWS.

I currently work on an AI solutions team in financial services, building LLM-powered document generation and workflow tools. Most of the craft is in the parts around the model: deterministic, testable pipelines with targeted LLM calls for the things models are genuinely good at, like text generation, structured output and classification, so the result is reliable enough to use in a regulated setting. I'm the primary builder on a small team and have taken this work from first prototype into production.

Before that I spent two years as one of three engineers on a large internal business-process platform, owning both new feature delivery and keeping it running. Earlier, at Canstar, I built features on a public comparison platform, migrated a large Angular monolith across four major versions, and set up the team's testing practices.

I like small, focused, high-trust teams where I can own code and platforms end to end. I'm looking for senior software or AI engineering roles, remote or based in Brisbane.
