What I'm looking for

I’m looking to lead secure, cloud-native platform and application work—designing Kubernetes/OpenShift systems, strengthening compliance and observability, and mentoring engineers to improve reliability, security, and delivery speed.

I’m a dynamic Senior Software Engineer and Platform Engineer with 15+ years of experience managing globally distributed teams. I specialize in architecting, securing, and operating cloud-native platforms and services, with a strong foundation in computer science, computer networks, and cyber security.

At IBM (January 2024–Present), I spearheaded deployment of an Istio service mesh on Kubernetes and OpenShift to enable secure inter- and cross-cluster communication with advanced encryption and strict ingress/egress policies. I engineered secure, compliant infrastructure on IBM Cloud using VPC, VPE, Terraform, OpenShift, and Kubernetes, and I’ve mentored junior developers while improving reliability and security through strategic on-call rotations. Through code reviews, bug resolution, and architecture optimization, I increased automation coverage and achieved time savings of up to 80%.

As an AI / Anomaly Detection Tech Lead (January 2022–December 2023), I directed an anomaly detection system using timeseries data, improving prediction accuracy for customer-impacting events by 30%. I owned the end-to-end architecture—data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation—and collaborated with stakeholders to define success metrics that improved early incident detection and reduced operational impact.

Earlier at IBM, I led application security and secure development practices by ensuring 100% compliance with internal standards, driving vulnerability remediation, and automating deployment and monitoring with Python, Go, Bash, and JavaScript. I also built Go microservices and RESTful APIs with IAM and ServiceNow, created reusable encryption and messaging libraries for Kafka and RabbitMQ, and supported fullstack development with Node.js using Cloudant and PostgreSQL. My engineering approach stays grounded in observability, security-by-design, and continuous improvement across production reliability.
