I am a Qualified Supply Chain Management Officer with extensive experience optimizing operations and managing inventories. I focus on procurement, inventory control, and process streamlining to support supply chain systems with accurate data tracking.

In my current role as Supply Chain Management Officer for the County Government of Vihiga, I prepare estimates of expenditure, procurement plans, and provisioning for the Authority. I implement procurement manuals, review and apply existing supplies regulations and procedures, and ensure receipt, verification, inspection, and posting of ordered goods to meet order specifications.

I also lead tender and contract administration by preparing tender evaluation schedules and local purchase/service orders for approval and award. I manage compliance with procurement laws, advise departments on procurement matters, spearhead the development and review of procurement policies and templates, and coordinate internal auditing and evaluation of supply chain management processes.

Beyond procurement execution, I oversee safe custody of procured goods, conduct stock taking and stock audits, coordinate asset valuation, and initiate disposal processes for unserviceable and surplus stores and equipment. I monitor suppliers’ performance, conduct periodic market research, negotiate major contracts, and oversee the implementation and effective use of the e-Procurement system.
