I'm a Senior Data Engineer with 9 years of experience building and operating large-scale data platforms across the telecommunications and media/streaming industries.
I specialize in cloud data engineering, with strong experience in GCP, BigQuery, Python, SQL, Airflow/Cloud Composer and PySpark. Throughout my career, I've worked on data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, analytics and observability solutions processing data at scale and supporting products used by millions of customers.
One of my most impactful projects was helping build a self-service experimentation platform for a large-scale streaming product. As the data specialist in a multidisciplinary team, I owned data reconciliation and helped evolve the organization from manually configuring a handful of experiments per month to running close to 1,000 experiments per year. The platform also helped establish a much stronger data-driven experimentation culture across teams in Portugal, the UK and the US.
Beyond hands-on engineering, I contribute to solution design and technical decisions, collaborate with international teams, mentor engineers and help improve data reliability, performance and observability.
I'm particularly interested in challenging data engineering problems, modern cloud data platforms and product-focused environments where engineers have ownership and can see the impact of what they build.
