I’m a seasoned environmental and social sustainability professional with 15+ years in natural resources management, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs), and safeguards implementation across Uganda. As District Natural Resources Officer at Bunyangabu District Local Government, I lead environmental compliance, forestry management, land administration, and physical planning, while supervising a multidisciplinary team of 12 technical officers.

I deliver ESG-aligned outcomes for IsDB- and Government-financed projects by leading ESIAs and ESMPs, managing Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs), and strengthening disaster risk and climate resilience in flood- and mudslide-prone regions. I apply IFC Performance Standard 1 and Performance Standard 5 (and Performance Standard 6 for biodiversity), coordinate with regulators such as NEMA, UWA, and DWRM, and report through Uganda’s Environment Information Management System (EIMS) with GRI-aligned indicators—improving compliance reporting from 72% to 94% and supporting compensation processes (over UGX 850 million) with strong stakeholder satisfaction.

Before my current role, I served as Technical Coordinator – Biodiversity at Ecological TrendAlliance Uganda, coordinating conservation work across multiple districts and managing a portfolio of 25+ community-based natural resource management projects with 1,500+ stakeholders. I’ve also led community-based disaster early warning systems reaching 5,000+ community members, contributing to zero deaths during the 2024 flood season, and I’m committed to advancing ESG certification within 12 months upon securing resources.
