@jerovign
PhD in Life Sciences and AgroParisTech alumna with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, seeking opportunities in strategy, innovation, business
What I'm looking for
I am a PhD graduate in Life Sciences from the Max Planck Institute in Germany and an engineering graduate from AgroParisTech, France. My background combines scientific research, data analysis, project coordination, and international collaboration.
Throughout my career, I have worked on complex scientific challenges, from cancer research at Institut Curie to comparative genomics and epigenetics during my PhD. These experiences have taught me how to approach unfamiliar problems, critically evaluate information, develop innovative solutions, and turn complex data into meaningful insights.
One of my key strengths is my ability to learn quickly and work independently across different disciplines. During my PhD, I explored and implemented new computational approaches, coordinated experimental and analytical workflows, and collaborated with researchers from diverse backgrounds.
While I enjoy science and technology, what motivates me most is understanding complex challenges, identifying opportunities, and contributing to decisions that create tangible impact.
I am now looking to bring my analytical mindset, scientific expertise, and problem-solving skills into a more business-oriented environment. I am particularly interested in product strategy, consulting, innovation, and roles at the intersection of technology, science, and business.
Based in France, I am open to remote-first opportunities with occasional travel, particularly within international and multidisciplinary teams.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Researcher PHD Student
Aug 2021 - Mar 2026 (4 years 7 months)
Led an independent PhD project in chromatin biology, combining experimental and data analysis approaches to study genome regulation in brown algae.
Designed and performed multi-omics experiments (ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, Hi-C) and developed workflows to integrate complex datasets. Identified chromatin-based regulatory mechanisms and contributed to high-impact publications, including a first-author pape
Laboratory Technician
Sep 2020 - Jul 2021 (10 months)
Contributed to the setup of a new molecular biology laboratory, including equipment installation, workflow organization, and protocol development.
Established and optimized experimental procedures in molecular and cellular biology, supporting multiple research projects through technical expertise and troubleshooting.
Initiated a cross-disciplinary research project by identifying cancer-specific neotranscripts using RNA-seq and ChIP-seq data.
Built collaborations across teams, enabling downstream immunology studies. Applied advanced molecular and genomic techniques (Hi-C, ChIP-seq, siRNA, spheroids) in a cancer research context.
Applied fundamental and advanced molecular and genomic techniques (DNA extraction, RNA extraction, Protein purification, Western blot, cell culture, blood centrifugation, PCR, RT-qPCR, Hi-C, ChIP-seq, siRNA, spheroids) in a cancer research context.
Research internship using C. elegans to study mRNA processing and gene regulation. Explored how alternative splicing and promoter activity control gene expression across tissues and developmental stages, using fluorescent reporters to track expression in vivo. Vectors construct with AQUA-Cloning technics.
