I am a dedicated and research-driven microbiologist with a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, molecular biology, and applied microbiological research. I focus on conducting scientific investigations, analyzing data, and presenting research findings to support evidence-based decisions.
My research experience includes working as a Research Assistant on “Risk factors of Chlamydia trachomatis among women of reproductive age in LUTH.” I have also gained practical skills through internships in Microscopy, Culturing and Sensitivity (MCS) techniques and in Central Science Laboratory DNA extraction and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) techniques. My undergraduate thesis explored “Production of bioethanol from pretreated potato peel with yeast co-cultures (Pichia kudriavzevii and Yarrowia phangngaensis).”
I thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments and bring leadership experience from student governance and scientific associations. I served as General Secretary of Christian Association of Microbiology Students (CAMS) and held roles in Student Union Government and departmental electoral boards, supporting community engagement and organization.
I am committed to advancing scientific knowledge and applying research outcomes to address public health, environmental, and agricultural challenges. I continue to share my work through seminar and conference presentations, including “Valorization of potato peel into bioethanol” at the FADIB Conference, while staying active in professional affiliations such as Nigeria Society of Microbiology (NSM) and FADIB.
