Jean Carlos User

At Volup, I own the full web, mobile, and back-end stack for a premium food delivery platform serving 78 restaurants and around 700 clients weekly across Portugal and Spain. I maintain zero downtime while integrating Kafka for reliable event-driven communication with external systems.

After being promoted to Tech Lead, I became the product’s main technical reference and lead a cross-functional team of two developers and a Product Owner. I also introduced a spec-driven workflow using AI tools to standardize and accelerate feature delivery.

At Tilroy, I delivered four concurrent retail projects across Belgium, France, Norway, and Italy, including rebuilding its e-commerce site in Next.js for the Italian launch. I designed a Node.js Backend-for-Frontend to orchestrate microservices and built a smartphone-based in-person payments app.

I’ve built products across food delivery, retail, banking, education, and geolocation since 2019. I care deeply about clean, maintainable code, solid engineering processes, and understanding the real user need behind every project.
