Isobelle Hanby
@isobellehanby
I bring Iron Age history to life through interpretation, workshops, and museum leadership.
What I'm looking for
At the Scottish Crannog Centre, I deliver live interpretation of Iron Age life through cooking, metalworking, textiles, workshops, school teaching, and music-led visitor engagement.
I lead the relocation and setup of a museum collection of more than 4,000 artefacts, including the conservation and display of a 2,500-year-old textile. I also coordinate staff and volunteers, assess and mentor apprentices, and represent the Centre in collaborative projects.
My visitor-facing experience includes reception at Moness Resort, interactive interpretation at Jorvik Viking Centre, and visitor services, retail, and security at Castle Howard.
I enjoy making history accessible to diverse audiences through performance, practical skills, and excellent customer service, supported by qualifications in experimental archaeology, museums and galleries practice, customer service, leadership, first aid, and food safety.
