What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can develop reproducible Earth Observation and geospatial processing pipelines, run satellite time-series analyses and validation, and communicate results that support environmental monitoring and evidence-based decisions.

I’m an Earth Observation Scientist with an MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation (Natural Resources Management) from the University of Twente. My focus is developing reproducible Earth Observation workflows and geospatial processing chains that turn satellite data into actionable environmental insights.

I work across Sentinel-1 SAR, Sentinel-2 MSI, Landsat, MODIS, and Google Earth Engine, using optical–SAR integration and satellite time-series analysis for vegetation monitoring, crop phenology, ecosystem disturbance assessment, forest biomass estimation, and land-cover mapping.

I’m comfortable taking end-to-end responsibility for processing and modeling: cloud masking, seasonal compositing, Savitzky–Golay smoothing, terrain masking, and multi-temporal analyses. I retrieve biophysical indicators such as Start of Season (SOS), End of Season (EOS), seasonal amplitude, Radar Vegetation Index (RVI), and Leaf Area Index (LAI) using TIMESAT, stepwise multiple linear regression, and PROSAIL inversion.

I also apply statistical and machine learning methods for classification and regression—using Random Forest and XGBoost, and leveraging image embedding models like CLIP and BLIP—then validate results with confusion matrices and performance metrics (precision, recall, F1-score, RMSE, and R²). I deliver scientifically documented technical reports and reproducible workflows that clearly communicate findings for evidence-based decision-making.
