What I'm looking for

I’m eager to join a team where I can contribute to building impactful, user-centered software while learning from experienced engineers. I’m especially drawn to mission-driven companies in fintech, civic tech, or education spaces where technology can improve lives. I thrive in environments that value mentorship, clear feedback, and continuous learning.

I’m Bakari Isaac Juma, a software engineer who completed intensive training at Moringa School, with a strong focus on full-stack development using React (frontend), Flask, and SQL (backend).

I’ve developed several real-world applications, including:

A debt tracking system that helps SMEs manage payments and reduce overdue accounts
A county permit tracker CLI that streamlines local business permit issuance and renewal
A bursary management platform for handling student applications and program administration

These tools were built to solve practical local problems and improve efficiency through digital solutions.

I enjoy building intuitive, scalable systems from scratch, collaborating with teams, and constantly improving my skills. I'm currently looking for junior software engineering roles especially in fintech, civic tech, or mission-driven startups where I can deliver value and keep growing as a developer.
