At ETAC S.R.L, I provide technical and clinical consultancy to clinicians and orthopedic workshops on pediatric assistive devices across northern Italy. I also contribute to annual sales, profit, and budget targets.
At Rush Hospital Medical Center, I partnered with orthopedic surgeons and engineers to study the mechanical and chemical degradation of polyethylene tibial inserts used in total knee arthroplasty.
For my TKA implant project, I developed a dual-model framework in Abaqus to simulate stress-modulated lipid diffusion in tibial inserts. I validated the simulations against clinical retrieval data and experimental results.
I presented research on lipid uptake and stress–diffusion modeling in UHMWPE knee liners at the International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty Annual Congress. My work on oxidation and lipid absorption in retrieved knee implants received an Honorable Mention at the 7th Annual UIC Biomedical Engineering Research Symposium.
