Valeria Marchetti
@valeriamarchetti
I research neural cell behavior and bioelectronic devices to study brain ischemia and stroke mechanisms.
What I'm looking for
I'm completing PhD research at the Institute of Experimental Medicine, CAS / Charles University through the MSCA ITN ASTROTECH network, developing electronic devices and biomaterials to study astrocyte function following ischemia.
I've planned in vitro and ex vivo experiments, tested bioelectronic devices, coordinated international partners, and delivered scientific reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications. My secondments at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia and i3S in Porto expanded my work on photosensitive polymers, biomaterial–astrocyte compatibility, and hydrogel systems for adult astrocyte culture after ischemia.
