My current PhD research at the University of KwaZulu-Natal integrates artificial intelligence, hydrology, and remote sensing for flood forecasting and risk assessment in South Africa’s Eastern Coast cities. I’ve also published research on flood inundation mapping using Landsat-8 imagery and on land-cover classification using Sentinel-2.
At the University of KwaZulu-Natal, I taught GIS and remote sensing practicals and mentored postgraduate students. Earlier, as a Geomatics Student Trainee at Parker Surveys cc, I collected survey data, carried out spatial modelling, and produced maps and reports.
