Iqra Choudhary

I'm pursuing a Ph.D. in Economics at Jamia Millia Islamia, researching efficiency and productivity analysis in primary education. My work focuses on translating large-scale education and labour data into evidence for policy analysis.

I've worked with UDISE, NSSO, and PLFS datasets on research examining education, employment, economic returns, and primary-school efficiency in India. My research applies Probit and Mincer equations, Data Envelopment Analysis, Malmquist Index methods, and econometric interpretation.

In ongoing work, I'm combining DEA with machine learning models including Random Forest, CART, LASSO, and PCA to study educational efficiency across Indian states. I have also published in SN Business & Economics and serve as a peer reviewer for the journal.

Alongside research, I taught Macroeconomics as an Assistant Faculty member at Jamia Millia Islamia and provided remote econometrics support as an Economics Expert with Transtutors. I enjoy helping students understand economic analysis while developing rigorous, data-informed research.
