I’m looking to lead data platform modernisation and enterprise data architecture—owning blueprints, metadata-driven designs, governance, and lakehouse migrations—while working with teams that value pragmatic delivery and strong enterprise architecture alignment.

I’m a Principal-calibre Data Solutions Architect and Principal Systems Architect with 17+ years owning the design, governance, and lifecycle oversight of enterprise data solution architectures across data warehousing, analytics, MDM, data integration, and data migration. My focus is building scalable, standardised platforms using metadata-driven architectures, dynamic SQL patterns, and reusable design frameworks.

Currently, I’m the architectural lead for data platform modernisation at Absa Bank, owning the overall solution architecture blueprint and guiding the transition from a legacy ETL landscape to a modern lakehouse architecture on Databricks. I translate business and analytical requirements into functional designs, technical specifications, and solution architecture documentation, and I act as the interface between data analytics teams and enterprise architecture (TOGAF 9.2 certified), ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy while delivering pragmatically in fast-paced environments.
