At the Ministry of Blue Economy, I collected, cleaned, and analyzed government datasets using Python and SQL to support departmental decision-making. I also built statistical models and visualizations that contributed to policy-informing reports.
For my final-year project, I built an XGBoost model to predict power outages in Nairobi County and used Facebook Prophet to forecast electricity load. I also engineered and operate Bashaar WiFi, a live captive portal with M-Pesa integration serving paying customers in Nairobi.
