At First Fungal Culture Bank of Pakistan, FAS-PU, I identified beneficial strawberry-associated microbes using morphological and molecular methods, including DNA extraction, PCR, and sequence-based fungal identification.

For my M.Phil. research at the University of the Punjab, I investigated radish leaf-based SiO₂ nanoparticles as an approach to managing Fusarium wilt in tomato. I conducted greenhouse bioassays to assess disease suppression and compared nanoparticle treatments with standard chemical controls.

My research also includes fungal communities associated with strawberry plants and published work on fungal assemblages in the Grewia asiatica phyllosphere. I’m interested in advancing research in molecular plant pathology, pathogen evolution, comparative genomics, and effector biology.
