What I'm looking for

I'm seeking opportunities to contribute to laboratory research, data analysis, and science education while growing my molecular microbiology and immunology expertise.

I've contributed to behavioral neuroscience research at The University of the South and infectious-disease research in the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Sullivan Lab.

In behavioral neuroscience, I conducted mouse behavioral testing, immunohistochemistry, cytological sample analysis, and bright-field microscopy. I also developed protocols, managed a 70-mouse colony, and presented six professional posters, including two as first author.

At Johns Hopkins, I developed and optimized a heme crystal nucleation and extension protocol to assess quinoline drug binding across 10 drugs. I support daily lab operations while working with live blood cultures, PCR, flow cytometry, radioactive safety procedures, Prism, and Excel.

I competed a master's in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology and have contributed to publications on gut microbiome research and antimalarial drug action. I also bring science communication experience from teaching classroom science lessons for children.
