I'm contributing to Masakhane's Artifact & AfriGuard Translation and Annotation Project, creating an African-centered fact-checking dataset across 10 African languages, including Shona, isiZulu, Swahili, Hausa, and Yoruba.
I built a transformer-based Twitter sentiment classifier for Monkeypox using AutoGluon and Hugging Face ELECTRA, reaching 83.9% accuracy and a 79.6% F1-score across about 6,000 tweets. I presented this work at Deep Learning Indaba in Kigali in 2025 and published a related systematic literature review in the International Journal for Informatics and Development.
At e-Solutions Zimbabwe, I'm a Junior Odoo Developer customizing payroll systems and websites for clients. Previously, at Claxon Actuaries, I analyzed claims data, supported financial and insurance cost models, cleaned pension data, and contributed to website design and development.
I'm also active in the African AI community as Team Lead for IndabaX Zimbabwe's Applications & Selection Team, coordinating event planning and community engagement. I hold a BSc Honours in Informatics and have a strong interest in natural language processing for African languages, alongside web design and writing.
