Gordon Phillips
@gordonphillips
Experienced structural/mechanical engineer specializing in heavy transport and FEA-driven design.
What I'm looking for
I am an experienced and driven structural and mechanical engineer with over eight years of focused work in heavy transport, trailer design, and structural analysis. I combine hands-on fabrication and field experience with advanced FEA skills to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions for complex, heavy-load projects.
Throughout my career I have led structural modifications, fatigue and life analyses, and supervised production and welding practices across multiple materials and dissimilar metal assemblies. I have designed and produced fabrication and lift-related drawings, supported heavy lift operations, and managed route planning, permitting, and execution for super loads.
I bring leadership, team building, and quality-control management to projects, having run my own super-load transportation company and served as lead engineer on numerous R&D and product-line upgrade efforts. I hold a BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural topics and a Montana Professional Engineer license.
