What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that values creativity and collaboration, where I can leverage my design and development skills to create impactful user experiences.

Hi, I’m Giulia. I'm a Senior Product Designer and Front-End Developer with ten years of experience. I work remotely with teams worldwide from sunny Portugal (GMT).

My journey in design and development began as a freelancer—with cold emails, real conversations, and a drive to deliver everything. I wore many hats: crafting logos, designing landing pages, developing full products, preparing presentations, and even creating video animations. That early hustle taught me how to uncover and transform complex problems into simple, shippable products that users love.

After that, I worked for various businesses across industries, such as SaaS, Tech, Finance, Gaming, Education, Real Estate, and others. Embracing different team dynamics and methodologies—Agile, Scrum, and Shape Up—helped me grow professionally and adapt to new challenges.

After those experiences, I concluded that we must ship complete features that add value to customers while keeping our code clean, writing tests to ensure a bug-free experience, and documenting our work. Documentation is crucial—not only because one year from now, we probably won't recall everything we did or why, but also because it can be incredibly handy for onboarding new team members.

As someone who does both design and code, I have the unique ability to connect with diverse teams—marketing, engineering, support, and stakeholders—to align design solutions with business objectives and consistently deliver high-quality products. By the way, the support team can be amazing allies regarding user feedback.

That’s why, in addition to analysing data from Google Analytics, Hotjar, or PostHog to drive decisions, I also keep the support team in the loop and talk with real users to understand their needs truly.

That's who I am and what I believe in a nutshell. Thanks for taking the time to check out my journey—I’m looking forward to bringing my blend of design and development expertise to projects that value clarity, purpose, and a collaborative approach.
