At First Quantum Minerals Ltd, I independently architect, develop, and maintain data solutions across Azure and Databricks. My work includes acquisition strategies built on medallion architecture and streaming ingestion with Azure Event Hubs, Azure Service Bus, and Databricks Structured Streaming.
I also build reusable ETL/ELT templates and data quality frameworks, and implement governance with Unity Catalog. I tune Databricks clusters and Delta Lake performance, including cost optimization using serverless computing patterns.
At Lewis Group, I designed and implemented a data platform and operating model for operational reporting and advanced analytics, and led migration from legacy platforms. On my SI Project Architecture project, the pipeline platform cut CPU usage from 80–100% to barely 20%, with ingestion eight times faster on average.
