I am a dedicated machine learning engineer with a passion for developing innovative solutions that push the boundaries of technology. My journey in this field has been marked by a commitment to staying at the forefront of machine learning advancements, as demonstrated through my freelance work and diverse projects. Currently, I work as a Research Associate at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas, where I have developed object detection, segmentation, and classification models for real-world applications.
In my role, I led the PVGnosis project, focusing on detecting solar panel defects using drone imagery and deep learning techniques. My contributions extend to deploying FastAPI services for real-time machine learning access and participating in multiple Horizon projects. Additionally, I have been involved in developing an AI-powered vehicle counting system and optimizing traffic light adjustments, significantly enhancing traffic flow in Thessaloniki. My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Democritus University of Thrace, where I honed my skills in deep learning and computer vision.
