Georgios Damaskinidis

My academic work focuses on research methodology and postgraduate research development. I’ve taught Research Methodology for eight semesters on the Hellenic Open University TEFIL master’s programme and Research Methodology in Multilingual Contexts for four semesters.

At Ionian University, I’ve taught research-methodology courses for postgraduate students and doctoral candidates, as well as academic discourse and thesis design and writing. I’ve supervised postgraduate dissertations in TESOL, education, special and inclusive education, intercultural studies, semiotics and communication.

I’m the author or co-author of books on research pathways for students and doctoral candidates, postgraduate dissertation design, and research-proposal writing in the social sciences and humanities. I also publish peer-reviewed research and review for journals including Semiotica, Journal of Visual Communication, Journal of Language Awareness, SAGE Open, and Humanities & Social Sciences Communications.

I’m interested in MAAS EdTech’s coaching model, where learners remain the authors of their work. My feedback focuses on clarifying research questions, aligning methods, strengthening arguments and structure, and improving the use of evidence; I’m especially suited to work in Education, TESOL, Humanities and Social Sciences, interdisciplinary health-related research, and selected Psychology-related projects.
